Zandra’s Taqueria in downtown Manassas is undergoing an expansion to add a rooftop bar and lounge that will open in time for summer.
MANASSAS, VA — Zandra’s Taqueria in Old Town Manassas is expanding to add a rooftop bar and lounge, according to the restaurant’s Facebook page. The expansion will also provide a new facade, additional bathrooms, and new electrical and plumbing systems.
Zandra’s new bar and lounge will be the city’s first full-service rooftop bar, according to the city’s economic development newsletter. The 1,200 square foot bar will be able to accommodate up to 65 guests at a time.
“We are very excited to bring a rooftop bar and lounge to downtown Manassas,” Zandra’s said on Facebook. “We believe it will be a great addition to the many great restaurants and bars in town.”
Zandra’s expansion is scheduled to be completed in May, according to the newsletter. The restaurant’s renovation and expansion is a $500,000 investment.
“This is a welcome addition and sure to become a “hot spot” in downtown, especially as we approach the warmer months,” the city’s newsletter said. Officials cited the investment as a reason for optimism. “Such investment during a pandemic underscores the confidence companies like Zandra’s have in Manassas as the best place to do business.”Subscribe
